Taken from Three Generations of Jennings In America"In his youth, Milo was a stone mason, in his later years he was a repairer ofoil machinery until he moved to Colorado. After moving to Colorado, he had a general merchandise store and served as the local undertaker. He and Elizabeth were members of the Baptist Church. Both he and Elizabeth were noted for their musical talent and zeal in the Sunday School program. "He served in the 148th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. This regiment was organized asthe Ohio National Guard unit, formed for 100 days service, May 18, 1864 under Colonel Thomas W. Moore and left for the field May 23, when an accident occurred to the train. The regiment moved to Washington, via Harpers Ferry, then to the White House and the Bermuda Hundred, where it served in the trenches till the last of August and was mustered out September 14, 1864 Mustered out at Marrietta Ohio. The Unit lost 39 men during the War.
