Voyages of the Nancy are listed at ship name on Ship List
1767 The Nancy departed Belfast, Ireland, and arrived at Charleston,
South Carolina.
* The voyage information was provided at a Council meeting on "June
22, 1767", as "lately arrived". Although the date of arrival was not
given, the previous meeting had been May 28, 1767, and the Clerk
reported vessel boardings at each meeting. It may be assumed,
therefore, that the arrival was between these dates.

Note: The petitioners "set forth that they were protestants"
encouraged by the "bounty" to come to South Carolina (see "Bounty
Act"). The fares ("passages") were paid "to Messrs. Torrans and Pouag
and Mr. Bath" from their "Bounties". Names on petitions for "Warrants
of Survey" for land "In or near Boonesborough or Belfast Township"
(cit. 3, pages 74-76) includes some additional names not on the first
(Bounty) list. The land warrants are indicated on this list by the
number of acres in parentheses. Some of these warrants are in the same
(or reasonably similar) names as underage (12 and 14 years) names on
the Bounty list. There is no indication whether these are for other
individuals or warrants were issued for land to these minors; 15 years
was generally the minimum age for legal status.
