"Fielding Stroud developed into a good and influential businessman who accumulated a goodly amount of the world's goods. He was so capable in attending to his own business affairs that, when their father, John Stroud, became sick and
incompetent, his brothers and sisters had him appointed their father's guardian. When his father died, Fielding was appointed administrator of his estate."
