.Jennie Lou Dyches, 77, of 306 Heape Road, Eastover, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with Pastor Bob Moore officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Link, Ray Link, Joey Dyches, Shannon Siffles, Jeff Steadley, Joe Bessinger and Kenny Link.
Mrs. Dyches was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Bamberg County, a daughter of the late Herman Nathaniel Kittrell Sr. and the late Minnie Darnell Kittrell. She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward Dyches; a son, Barry Dyches; a sister, Annie Jean Dempsey; and, a brother, Herman Nathaniel Kittrell Jr.
Survivors are a daughter, Brenda Spires and her fiance, Greg Nance, of Eastover; a son, Dennis and Judy Dyches of Elgin; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hannah Mae Barrs of Goose Creek, Daisy Belle Misale of Columbia and Betty Jane and George Kovacevich of Orangeburg.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her sister, Betty and George Kovacevich, 1317 Sifly Road, Orangeburg.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.
Memorials may be made to the H. F. Mabry Center for Cancer Care, 1161 Cook Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
