Il est marié avec Wife of William Yate.
Ils se sont mariés environ 1395 à Charney Bassett, Oxfordshire, England.
Enfant(s):
William's name was also given as Wilmus, Willmus, & Willimus in some documents.
According to Betty Hamilton's email below, he was the Manorial Lord of Standlake, Oxfordshire (abbreviation Oxon.) Co., England, UK, in 1380. (Standlake is located between Abingdon and Witney, now in Oxfordshire Co., but in 1380 were in Berkshire Co.)
A note about the various place names associated with this family:
Abingdon, Buckland, Charney & Charney-Bassett, Curcourt, Denchworth (North Denchworth & South Denchworth), Douay, East Hanney & West Hanney, Faringdon, Longworth, Lyford & Lyford Grange, Longworth, Reading, Standlake, Steventon, Uffington, Ufton & Ufton Court, Upham, Wantage, Windsor, Witney, etc.
All these towns/villages were historically located in Berkshire Co., but were added to the administrative county of Oxfordshire in 1974. So, when it is stated that, for instance, Standlake was in Oxfordshire in 1380, that is not correct. Standlake, and all the other towns/villages above were in Berkshire Co. until 1974. To keep our records accurate, we should not list those places as being in Oxfordshire Co. when any dates associated with the places are before 1974, which would include ALL of our data on the YATE/YATES family in England.
The area of England containing the above towns/villages was noted for the very prominent families located there, the FETTIPLACES and HYDES. Our YATE/YATES ancestors married into both those families.

My son-in-law is from England. On his last trip to England he came back with a partial family tree which his cousin is researching.
I have William as Wilmus Yate of Charney Bassett (Manoral Lord of Standlake, Oxon. 1380.)
His son Edmund Yate- no other information.
His son is Richard Yate d 1498 in Longworth. (Lord of Standlake, Charney and Longworth) Richard married Joan Ashenden (different spelling than on internet). Joan Ashenden d. 1500 in Longworth. They m 1477 in Lyford, berkshire, England. It mentions "brasses in church" I don't know what this means.
Their son Edmund Yate b 1463 and d 1516 is Tom's ancestor. This Edmund married Margaret Cornell (her father, John Cornell of Standlake Manor (clothier).
