The pedigree given by Ian Mitchell Lambert get confusing every once in a while. It doesn't give many dates, and when it does, there are sometimes big gaps. It is based on "Family of Lambert of Woodmanstone, Banstead in Surrey" (1886) & "Surrey Archaeological Collections" (1901).
It starts with Sir Henry de Lambert (or Lamport), son of Sir William de Lambert (or Lamport), who married Alice de Mandeville, daughter of "Geoffrey de Mandeville", who was a Magna Charta Surety & was son of Geoffrey FitzPiers. It states that Geoffrey had a son William, but this is an error, as his successor was his brother William. It also has the following notes: "floreat 1164" & "Standard bearer to King Henry II". Since Alice (who could not have been a legitimate daughter) was born about 1205 (her father was b. about 1184), the 1164 date & reference to Henry II would most likely be applied to his father William. ; Since it is unclear, that is the way I am interpretting it.
Caveat Emptor.
