•He married Petronella Brouwer, daughter of Abraham Brouwer and Aefje van Gelder, at Reformed Dutch Church, New York City, New York, on 4 February 1769 (banns 1 Feb 1769) "Anthony Post & Peternelletje Brouwer."2
•Col. Anthony Post witnessed the baptism of Maria Brouwer , daughter of Abraham Brouwer and Aefje van Gelder, on 17 November 1765 at Reformed Dutch Church, New York City, New York, (sponsors Anthony Post, Petronella Brouwer, j.d.).3
•Col. Anthony Post and Petronella Brouwer were members of the at Reformed Dutch Church, New York City, New York, on 23 May 1774.4
• He was a builder, and President of the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen, 1789 and 1793. Assistant Alderman of the Fourth Ward, New York City in 1797.1
•, In her will dated 12 June 1795, Affie Brouwer names her son, Abraham Brower, and sons-in-laws Anthony Post and Jabez Halsey, as executors of her estate.5,6

• On 17 March 1802 Petition of Anthony Post, who on 5 Feb 1796 was appointed guardian of Elizabeth Wyckoff Brower (age then about 14 months, now aged about 6 years), only child of Abraham Brower, dec'd. The mother, Lydia, widow of Abraham Brower, has married Henry Wills. Bond (7 Aug 1802) of Anthony Post as guardian, with Leonard Bleecker as surety.9
• On 20 March 1802 Petition of Anthony Post, guardian of John, Thomas and George Brower, infant children of Garret Brower, dec'd. He asks what payments to make to Mary Brower, mother of the children, two of whom have been apprenticed.10
• On 24 May 1802 Petition of Anthony Post, setting forth that in Feb., 1796 he was appointed guardisn of Elizabeth Wyckoff Brower (then aged about 14 months). He asks how he is to make payments from the estate.11
