JAMES DE LA MONTANYE
James de la Montanye, 86, a Kingston native, died December 11 in Springfield Hospital, Springfield, Mass., after a brief illness. He was born 3 June 1888 in Kingston, son of the late John and Lillian Hoffman de la Montanye. ; He was associated with General Motors Overseas Operations from 1917 until his retirement in 1948. He made his home in Woodstock for 34 years until 1972 when he moved to East Longmeadow, Mass. Surviving are his widow, Leona Martin de la Montanye, and his former ward, Mrs. Robert Emerson, Jr., both of East Longmeadow, and his cousins Mrs. Victor Lasher and Mrs. Frank Bradley of Woodstock. ; Funeral services and cremation were held in Springfield.
