Althea M. Dymond, 88, of Municipal Road, Orange, Franklin Township, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, Inpatient Unit, at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Marsh Creek, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Minnie Montross Vopleus. She was a graduate of Beaumont High School. Mrs. Dymond was a member of the Orange United Methodist Church and the Cheerio Class. She was also a member of the Franklin
Township Fire Department Women?s Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson James; sisters Vivian Gavek and Jennie Morgan. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth, of Shickshinny, and Nelson C., of Orange; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Madeline Riffenberry, of
Beaumont, Arlene Denmon, of Beaumont, and Alverta Sayre, of Florida.; brother Cecil, of Athol, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Jackson Cox, of the Orange United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
