The King Bible was indeed the Bible of Josiah King and his wife, Harriet Nicholson. Josiah was the 5th child of Harmanus King and Ann Joralemon and, as I said, all the children of Hermanus King and Ann Joralemon were named in the will of their grandfather, Willem King who m Marytje Cadmus, Sec of State Probates, Essex Co NJ #11412G (will dated 13 Feb 1822 and proved 10 Jul 1822).
The Bible records in a convoluted form were in "Adrian Jansen Konninck and His Descendants, An [sic] Historical and Genealogical Record of the King Family", compiled by James King, Jr. copied from the original by Mrs. Drew King Robinson, Ocean Grove, NJ, 1935. This manuscript was found at the NY Public Library. The provenance of the manuscript is as follows:
William W. King (5th child of William King and Marytje Cadmus) mar Phoebe Hall of Rhode Island
1) first son died
2) James born 1799 bpt 1801 2nd River mar Matilda Ann Bogert of NYC 1821
Their son James Jr. wrote the King history mentioned above
3) William G. born 1802 NY married Martha Dyer of RI in 1827 Among their children was Harriet E. born 1842 NY married Andrew J. Robinson 1870 and they had a child, Drew King who married Eleanor Johnson Wait of West Newton MA and she is the one who copied the James King Jr. manuscript.
