Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Olmstead Chapel for Fay Lee Decker of Heber Springs, who passed away at the Cleburne County Hospital on Thursday, April 3, 1986 at the age of 60. The son of the late Fonzo Decker, he was born Sept. 19, 1925 at Tyler, Ark. He had been a resident of Cleburne County most of his life and was the owner of Decker Insurance Agency. Mr. Decker was also an ordained General Baptist minister and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Mt. Zion General Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia Rae (Bittle) Decker; two sons, Dwight Decker of Morgantown and Eric Decker of Heber Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Raenena Reeves of Tumbling Shoals and Mrs. Becky Martin of Drasco; his father, Fonzo Decker of Wilburn; eight brothers, Neal Decker and Verl Decker of Heber Springs, Leo Decker of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Dwain Decker of Rogers, Dale Decker of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bobby Decker of Barstow, California, and Jerry and Ricky Decker, both of Wilburn; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Cockrum of Bald Knob, Mrs. Alleyene Andrews of Watervliet, Michigan, Mrs. Rosella Bennett of Heber Springs, and Mrs. Daisy Kasum of Stockton, California; three grandsons, Seth and Caleb Decker and Rex Reeves; other relatives and many friends. Reverends Walter T. Bittle and Ivan Johnson officiated at the final tribute. Interment followed in the Sunny Slope Cemetery by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Chris Bittle, Ben Bennett, Roger Harlan, Steve Harlan, Glendal Decker, and Tim Decker served as pallbearers. Honoray pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.?
