Frederick S. Pearson 2nd of 12 East 96th Street, humorist, editor, and radio and television writer, died yesterday at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was 47 years old. Dr. and Mrs. Matthias Nicoll, Jr., of Loudon Woods, Rye, New York, have announced the engagement of their daughter Nancy Fay Nicoll to Frederick Stark Pearson, 2nd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward E. Pearson, also of Rye.
Miss Nicoll attended the Ethel Walker School, Simsbury, Connecticut, and Bryn Mawr College. She was introduced to society in 1932 and is a member of the Junior League.
Mr. Pearson went to the Pawling School and was graduated from Yale with this year's class.

Rye, N.Y., Oct. 4--The marriage of Miss Nancy Fay Nicoll, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Matthias Nicoll Jr. of this place, to Frederick Stark Pearson 2nd, son of Mrs. Ward E. Pearson of Rye and Mr. Pearson of London, took place this afternoon in Christ Church here. ...Mrs. Quentin A. Bossi was her sister's matron of honor and Miss Joan Holt of Rye was maid of honor. ...The bride who is the granddaughter of the late Matthias Nicoll and of Charles T. Wing of New York, studied at the Ethel Walker School and at Bryn Mawr College and made her debut in New York in 1932. Her father is Health Commissioner of Westchester County.
