The wife Nina was a very religious woman and felt the girls were a good workforce for her. The Mason girls except for the youngest Jeannette moved out of the Herman Larkin home and were basicly raised by the oldest girls Cecile & Mary. Jeanette went with Herman & Nina to Texas but eventualy ran away and joined the Navy.
