Fonda, March 25.—Mary Jane Montanye, widow of Solomon Veeder, died at 8 o'clock Wednesday night at her home on River street, after an illness of a week, of
grip and heart disease. Mrs. Veeder lived a beautiful Christian life, and her sterling principles won for her the lasting admiration of all with whom she became associated. She was born Dec. 28, 1842, in the town of Charleston, and in June,
1866, married Mr. Veeder, having ever since been a resident of Fonda. Mrs. Veeder was a member of the Reformed church of this village. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Agnes V. Taylor, widow of the late Georgo A. Taylor, who has tenderly cared for her in her declining years, and a sister, Mrs. William Hogan, of Schenectady.
The funeral will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. H. C. Cussler, pastor of the Reformed church, officiating, and interment will be in
Maple avenue cemetery, Fultonvllle.
