This is my father's 1st cousin, whose son Arthur John I saw during my trip to Holland with Son Andrew in September/October 2010. Arthur told me that there always was this envy on his father's part of my father, not just because my father was golden boy and spoilt, but also because my father had the courage, foolhardiness even, to pick up and leave with his wife and, at the time, six children for America. Arthur said that his father would have loved and always dreamed of someday going to America, but could not bring himself to leave a steady job and a secure pension. He named his son 'Arthur' for General MacArthur, who, he felt, had saved his and his family's life.
