P. Maurice PilonNaissance : 1915Décès : 2003Enterrement : Saint Antoine Cemetery, Lennoxville, Sherbrooke County, QuebecInscription : b. 1915, d. 2003, Missionaires D'Afrique (Pres Blanc)Cimetière : This cemetery appears to have begun in the 1850s, as the earliest headstones date from that period. These early burials are mainly Irish Catholics whereas most of the recent stones are French Catholics. Most of the stones are legible and the cemetery is well maintained. I have included all the names written on several monuments from the Cooperative Funeraire de L'Estrie. Susan Nutbrown and I walked and read this cemetery in June 2007 and made a complete recording from all legible tombstones and markers. - Leslie Nutbrown Some useful translation if you visit the cemetery is as follows: F.E.C= Canadian Expeditionary Force pouse de= wife of poux de= husband of enfant de= child of Mre = Mother Pre= Father Prtre= Priest Cur= Priest Abb= Abbot Legend: s/w = sealed with or shares a stone with
