LifeSketch: Parents of Jacob added as Richard and Ann Richard Brown and also as Edward and Martha Stroud. It doesn't appear that he is the child of Edward and Martha because 1) they have a child Henry, born on May 19, 1741 and Jacob was born on 1 June 1741. Both of these children could not belong to the same parents; 2) Jacob Beeson was a founder of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and was known as "Jacob of the Hill" and it is stated in the history that he was the brother of Henry, also a founder of Uniontown. Preponderance of the evidence leans toward Jacob being the son of Richard Beeson/Ann Brown and brother of Henry. See newspaper article in sources. n to Edward and Martha Stroud Beeson, not Richard and Ann Richards Brown. There is no documentation for his marriage to either Elizabeth Hedges or Ann, though he is sealed to Elizabeth.
