   Biography
   
   William was appointed a Knight of the Bath by Richard III. Shaw[1] indicates that a number of people received this honour in Jun 1483 as part of the coronation of Edward V (although the coronation never took place) one of whom was a 'William Bolney', presumably William Boleyn.
   
   
   
   
   Will of Sir William Boleyn 1505
   
   The will of Sir William Boleyn was made on 08 Oct 1505 and proved on 27 Nov 1505[2][3]. His will was to be buried in the Cathedral of Norwich, next to the tomb of his mother, Dame Anne Boleyn. He made a number of charitable donations including to the Cathedral Church of Norwich and the church at Blickling.
   
   He willed that his son Thomas should, in accordance with the will of the Testator’s father, Geoffrey Boleyn, have the Manors of Blickling, Calthorp, Wykmere and Mikelbarton. He also made bequests to his wife Margaret, his daughters Alice and Margaret, his daughter Ann Shelton, and his sons James, Edward and William. William was under the age of 21 at the time the will was made.
