Lovisa was born 1843. When Lovisa was two years old, George Baers second wife Lovisa Cos, who had no children, said she was lonely and would her father leave the two-year-old girl with her. Lovisa Cox was a very nice little old woman whom everybody loved. Michael Snider came back from the west and stopped at George Baer's and left Lovisa with them. Michael then moved to Flat Run, Mannington, West Virginia. The Baers raised and educated Lovisa. Because of this many people knew her as Lovisa Baer. She taught the Freesoil school one term, then the Renner school three terms. These were subscription schools. She paid $1.00 per week for board at the Renners. She married David Kennedy "DK" Fox 1864. She weighed 124 pounds and was 5 feet 4 inches tall. She was pretty, prettier than her girls and very nice. She took care of the Baers in their old age.
Lovisa, "Vis", or "Visy" and Sophronia "Frone" Delaney Lemley were very close friends. Frone called Vis and told her she was going to visit her. Vis asked her what she wanted to have for dinner. Frone said, "Caviar." Henry Youngingers meat market kept caviar, so they had caviar.
Ruhama "Hame" South Lemley was another one of Vis's close friends, she lived on a high hill above the mouth of Little Shannon Run. You could see Mt. Morris in a valley some two miles below on Dunkard Creek from her house, a breathtaking view. Vis frequently visited Hame on this hill when they were young. Hame died at an early age leaving four boys and a girl -- Guy, Southy, Dana, Cleve, and Mary. Guy was a dentist, lived and had his office a short distance from DK. One day he asked Pappy (DK) for his ladder to climb upon his house. The rung broke and Guy fell on the pavement and died.
Hame and Frone were sisters-in-law. Hame was married to Charles Headlee Lemley and Frone was married to David Newton Lemley, brothers of [the author's] grandmother. Uncle Newt had a large chestnut grove also a very large sugar camp.

Find A Grave Memorial# 109657587
When it comes to administrating, building and maintaining the site, Find A Grave is largely operated by its founder, Jim Tipton. Jim created the Find A Grave website in 1995 because he could not find an existing site that catered to his hobby of visiting the graves of famous people. He found that there are many thousands of folks around the world who share his interests. What began as an odd hobby became a livelihood and a passion. Building and seeing Find A Grave grow beyond his wildest expectations has been immensely satisfying for Jim. Every day, contributors from around the world enter new records, thousands use the site as an educational reference tool, long-lost loved ones are located and millions of lives are fondly remembered. In what other line of work would Jim have met one of the last living Munchkins, spoken to a gathering of grave enthusiasts in a Hollywood mausoleum and acquired treasures like his antique coffin screwdriver (it only screws in)?
