Good Morning from Lake Sinclair in GA.
I mostly work on the old Welborns. I have the Rabun Co. records and have
not tried too hard to sort them out into later lines except for one of
the
girls on the forum.
What is of record there:
Elisha Welborn was born c. 1788 in the old Pendleton, SC district of SC
and
appears in the 1810 census of Pendleton Co., SC . On the 8th day of
January 1829 he bought land in Rabun Co., GA. He became and active
person
in the County. He served on the grand jury in 1829 and was by 1833 the
Sheriff of Rabun Co. and in 1837 he was elected as a GA State
Legislator.
I do not know all of Elisha's children from a bible record.
