The Rocky Creek homestead became part of Albermarle County, Virginia in 1764, therefore Zachariah was born in Albermarle County, Virginia about 1766. In 1816 he migrated to Adair County, Kentucky, with his children and then went to Madison County, Arkansas with his son John in 1839. """Affidavit""" ["And I further state that Zachariah Ennis who was born in Augusta County, Virginia, in the year of 1766 and who died in Madison County, Arkansas the 4th day of November 1844.. That Zachariah Ennis was joined in marriage with Anne Bradshaw who was born in the State of North Carolina about 1770 and died in Burk County, State of North Carolina in 1815. To this union were born 7 children. I further state that Zachariah Ennis was the son of James Ennis born in Athlone County, Westmeath, Ireland on or about 1735.]

Zachariah Ennis was born in 1766 in Augusta, Virginia USA. He married Susannah Bradshaw about 1798 in Burke, North Carolina. They had eight children. Susannah died in 1815 in Burke, North Carolina. Zachariah Ennis moved to Adair County, Kentucky with his children in 1817, and then went to Madison County, Arkansas with his son, John Ennis, in 1839. He died at the home of his son, Elisha, at Prairie, Madison County, Arkansas on November 4, 1844. He was buried in Madison County, Arkansas.
