Jeanne Thériot is the ancestral matriarch of the Acadian Thibodeau family.
Jeanne was born about 1643 to parents Jean Thériot and Perrine Reau.[1] The family arrived in Acadia before 1650, but it is not clear where Jeanne was born.
Around 1660 Jeanne married Pierre Thibodeau,[1] in Port Royal Acadia[2] (Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada). Pierre was a founder of Chipoudy[3]Between 1661 and 1689, the couple had 16 children: [1] The list is in WT-ID order, not birth order.

At the time of Pierre's death in 1704[1], the family was living at Pré Rond Marsh[10] on the south bank of the Annapolis (Dauphin) River east of the fort.
In the 1714 census of Port-Royal, Jeanne is listed as the widow Thibodeau and is living with her son (not named). [11]
Jeanne died at Port-Royal on 7 December 1726, aged 87 years and was buried there the next day.[12][13]
