25 February 1564-65: John Schankis renounced and assigned all right which he had to the lands called Orchart, lying in Partik, in the barony of Glasgow, belonging to him through the decease of Andrew Schankis, his father, or otherwise, and that in favour of Andrew Youngar, son of John Youngar in Partik, and consented to the rentalling of Andrew in the lands. Done in the castle of Glasgow. Witnesses : Mr. Thomas Archibald, chamberlain of Glasgow, Andrew alias David Cottis, officer, John Forrett, Thomas Huchesoun, servitors of the castle, Thomas Cuik in Scheddilstoun, and John Gray, collier (carbonoria). 26 March 1589: Robert Rowat, bailie, gave sasine to John Younger in Pertik, as heir of q. John Younger in Pertik, his father, of a tenement of land, fore and bak, with yard and pertinents, lying t.c, on the south side of the Tronegait, between the lands of John Ros, son of q. Richard Ros, on the west, the tenement of Mathew Boyd on the east, and the street on the north. Witnesses: James Ballentyne of Kellie, James Lindsay of Mylnhous of Dwnrod, Mr. Thomas Younger, son of John, John Scot, baker, citizen, Stephen Sellar, Andrew Andersoun, Serjeants, and David Robesoun, notary. Thereafter, John Younger resigned the liferent of the property in favour of Jonet Bannatyne, daughter of James Bannatyne of Kelly, future spouse of William Younger in Partik, his son and heir apparent ; but reserving the liferent of John Younger.
