Otto II van Chiny (ca. 1065 - 1131 of later) was een zoon van Arnold I van Chiny en van Adelheid van Ramery-Roucy. Hij volgde in 1106 zijn vader op als graaf van Chiny. Otto voltooide de bouw van de abdij van Orval, die zijn vader begonnen was in 1070 en installeerde er kanunniken. Otto II (1065-after 1131), Count of Chiny, son of Arnold I, Count of Chiny, and Adâ©laâØs.
He succeeded his father in 1106 and completed the construction of the Abbey of Orval that his father had started in 1070, installing the canons in 1124. The installation of a Cistercian community in Orval in 1131 marked his last appearance in any proceedings.
He married Adelaide (Alix) (1068-1124), daughter of Albert III, Count of Namur and Ida of Saxony (widow of Frederick of Lower Lorraine), who gave birth to:
Ida (d. before 1125), married to Godfrey I, Count of Leuven Oda (d. after 1134), married to Giselbert II, Count of Duras Hugues, probably died young Albert, Count of Chiny Frederick, (d. after 1124), Provost at Reims from 1120 Adalbero II of Chiny-Namur (d. 26 March 1145), Bishop of Liâ®ge, 1135-1145 Eustache (d. after 1156), married to a daughter of Wiger de Waremme, Avouâ© of Liâ®ge Saint-Lambert and Hesbaye. His son Louis de Lumaine was also Avouâ© of Hesbaye. Ida (also known as Ida of Namur) and Godfrey (also known as Godfrey the Bearded, not to be confused with the uncle of his father Henry II, Godfrey) were parents of Adeliza of Louvain, wife of Henry I, King of England. Oda·Äôs husband Gislebert was son of Otto, Count of Duras and therefore the grandson of Giselbert, the first Count of Looz, whose family would eventually be merged with the Counts of Chiny with the marriage of Otto's great-great granddaughter Jeanne, Countess of Chiny, with Arnold IV, Count of Looz.
After his death, Otto was succeeded as Count of Chiny by his son Albert.

a)‰ ‰ ‰ ‰ ‰ ‰ ‰ ‰ IDA (-before 1125).‰ Her parentage and marriage are confirmed by the Gesta Abbatem Trudonensium which records [her brother] "Adalbero Metensium primicerius, filiorum Lovaniensis domini avunculus"[610].‰ The estimated date of her marriage indicates that Ida must have been one of her parentsမ older children.‰ m ([1105]) as his first wife, GODEFROI Comte de Louvain, son of HENRI II Comte de Louvain & his wife Adela [Adelheid] in der Betuwe (-25 Jan 1139, bur Afflighem).‰ Heinrich V King of Germany invested him as GODEFROI V "le Barbu" Duke of Lower Lotharingia in 1106.‰
b)¬â ¬â ¬â ¬â ¬â ¬â ¬â ¬â ODA (-after 1134).¬â Her parentage and marriage are confirmed by the Gesta Abbatem Trudonensium which records [her brother] "Adalbero Metensium primicerius...quia comitissa Durachiensis erat soror eius"[611].¬â Alexander Bishop of Liâ®ge confirmed a donation made by ·ÄúDurachiensi comite Gisleberto, eiusque filiis Ottone, Brunone, Theoderico et Oda comitissa·Äù by charter dated 1134[612].¬â The estimated date of her marriage indicates that Oda must have been one of her parents·Äô older children.¬â m (after 1114) as his second wife, GISELBERT Comte de Duras, son of OTTO van Looz Comte de Duras & his wife Oda de Duras (-before 1138).¬â
