William R. Jr, born 7/31/1797 in Lee county, Va. His father was William Randolph Collier, Sr. born 1775 in Lee County, Va.,the eldest son of Aaron J. Sr. John Collier, father of Aaron Sr. was born in Augusta County, Va. in 1722 and died abt 1773 in Botetourt County, Va.William R. Sr. was the brother of Aaron J., Jr. who was the Doctor in Lee County, Va.

Biography
·Ä¢William was born about 1775 in Grayson County, Virginia, to Aaron Collier and Elizabeth Berry Goad.
·Ä¢He married Catherine Roberts in 1793 in Virginia.
·Ä¢They had 10+ children: William, John, David, Martha, Anna, Elizabeth, Stephen, Isom, Martin, Clarinda.
·Ä¢In the 1815 tax assessments for Lee County, he owned a farm in Turkey Cove on the north side of Wallins Ridge, including 300 acres of land, a wood house, a smoke house, a loom house, a barn, and a stable. All valued at $1,000.
·Ä¢In 1820 he was living in Lee Virginia with his wife and 9 children.
·Ä¢In 1822 he made deeds to his sons; John, William, and David, giving them land he had purchased from William Yates and Joseph Head.
·Ä¢In 1830 he was living in Lee, Virginia, with his wife and his 4 youngest children.
·Ä¢He was Official Overseer of the Poor, and took care Shadruck Roberts from 1837 - 1838, and Eleanor Roberts from 1837 - 1846, with funds from the county. These are possibly his wife's parents.
·Ä¢In 1840 he was living in Lee, Virginia, with his wife, 3 youngest children, and an elderly female relative, possibly his mother-in-law, Elanor Roberts.
·Ä¢He died in November 1845, in Lee County, Virginia.
·Ä¢He was buried in Burial Collier Creek Cemetery, Buck Creek, Turkey Cove, Lee, Virginia, United States.
