«b»Notes from Marcia Briggs:«/b»
Could the William who was married to Abigail (parents of mystery Sarah) be the William Briggs -4 (Wm.-3, Richard-2, Wm.-1) named in his father's 1725 Will as a living heir but not followed further by Hannibal? Right time frame for age, if Sarah was b c 1743. Evidence cited in Hannibal indicates Wm.-4 was living in 1740 when he and brother Isaac deeded 2/3 of Cedar Swamp that belonged to their deceased father (Wm-3) to their brother, Noah. If I read Hannibal correctly, Wm-3 had one ch. with Constance Lincoln [Merry or Mercy who married Stephen Haskins and was deeded land in 1718/19 as her mother's "only living inheritor of land".]
