Mar 13, 1837, at Woodstock, Conn.; went to Kansas with his mother's family in 1857; m. 1st Augusta Ayres, April 29, 1866, in Linn Co., Kansas. She d. June 5, 1867. He m. 2d, Lizzie Linton, April 14, 1869, in Mound City, Kansas. She was b. at Wilmington, Ohio, Sep 10, 1845, the dau. of David and Ann (Thomas) Linton.
After going to Kansas he located on a homestead in Linn County. He and his three brothers were known as Free State men in the border warfare between the slavery and anti-slavery parties, and they were frequently in danger from parties of pro-slavery marauders. Myron was at one time associated with John Brown of Osawatomie. He enlisted in 1861 in the 12th Kansas Volunteer Regiment and served continuously until 1865. He lived on his farm in Linn County until his removal to Lawrence, Kan., in 1888. He d. there Nov 26, 1900."

OBITUARY.
Myron N. CORBIN was born in West Woodstock, Connecticut on the 13th of March, 1837 and died in Lawrence, Kas., on the evening of November 26, 1900.
Most of his early life was spent near Worchester, Mass., where he attended school at Wilbaham accademy and afterwards taught school near that place.
Mr. CORBIN came west in 1857 and inlisted as a soldier in the 12th regiment Company G from Kansas, and took a prominent part in the early border troubles.
Mr. CORBIN was a man of distinctly domestic tastes and was wholly devoted to his family's interests. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn him, who thus find themselves bereft of a kind husband and loving father. The funeral was held from the family home 1108 Ohio street, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
