Sept. 24, 1817; m. Samuel H. Davis for his 2d wife, Nov. 5, 14. He was b. Feb. 18, 1811, at Dudley, son of Edward Davis. His first wife was Lydia H. Davis, whom he m. Nov. 9, 1842; she was blind, and as an inmate of the blind asylum at Boston, taught Laura Bridgman; she d. Aug. 16, 1843, leaving no children. Samuel H. Davis kept a furniture store and worked at cabinetmaking at Webster; he was a good and honorable citizen. He established the firm; "S.H. Davis & Sons." He d. in 1887. She d. Jan. 24, 1901."
