Bio: Mrs. Jennie Robb, age 85 years, passed away in St. Joseph's hospital, Dodgeville, Tuesday morning, May 18, 1948, at 10:30, after a week's illness of pneumonia, after having suffered a fractured hip by a fall a week previous. She had been in failing health for a year.Jennie Amelia Van Norman was born in the Town of Moscow, Iowa County, Wisconsin, No. 17, 1862, the daughter of Jacob and Lydia CORBIN Van Norman. Her marriage to Joseph Robb took place in Moscow on Sept 18, 1881. She spent her entire life in this vicinity except for ten years in Moville, Ia.Survivors are three sons, William and Walter of Blanchardville, and Glenn of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Luretta, Mrs. Ed Rickey of Hollandale and Hazel, Mrs. Rudy Lehnherr of Baraboo; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Enos, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Martha Jones, Moville, Ia.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.She was a member of Blanchardville Lutheran church, and was very highly esteemed by all who knew her.For some time she had been residing with her daughter in Baraboo until taken to a Dodgeville hospital.Friends may call at the Saether Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, at 1:30 p.m. in Blanchardville Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. T. Kleven. Burial will take place in Graceland cemetery.
