Jacob was born in Salford Township , he was a Mennonite. He lived his life as a farmer, owning a 180 acre plantation in Lower Salford Twp., Montgomery Co., PA and he died there The late Barbara Ford, genealogist for the Oberholtzer family association has stated very clearly that there had never been a marriage between an Oberholtzer and a Haldeman, Further, that Christian Haldeman did not have a daughter named Deborah. And that Jacob Oberholtzer's wife WAS Deborah Krey. There have been many files shown with Haldeman as his wife which are not correct. Jacob married Deborah Krey 1728 in in Salford Twp., Montgomery Co., Pa....

MANY MANY ERRORS HAVE BEEN PROVEN IN THE Elisha Loomis BOOK BY BARBARA FORD GENEALOGIST FOR THE OVERHOLSER ASSOCIATION
She is now deceased but she was always working on the Oberholtzer lines and had proven errors. We have letters from MR. Loomis to our Oberholtzers as to their family line. They are most interesting.

Just for the record, there are hundreds of errors in the Loomis book that the Overholser assoc. are trying to correct.
