Bio: She could be from a number of different Townsend families, but nothing is known for certain. Prior to her marriage, Lydia was mentioned by John Mills of Boston in his October 1651 will as "a servant to Mr.Rucke", and she was bequeathed 40 shillings for her pains.

Lydia[1]came to America with her father. Her father arrived in Lynn, Massachusetts in 1637[2][3]from England, and therefore it is likely Lydia was born in England. Date: 5 NOV 1629 Place: Bracon-Ashe, England
Lydia was born in Lynn, Massachusetts (Essex)[4]Date: 12 DEC 1651; Place: Boston, Massachusetts[5]
She was probably from the Lynn or Watertown family, certainly not of the Boston family.
Lydia died at Braintree on 8 Jan 1687/8.[6][7]
