Ordulf (sometimes Otto) (c. 1022 – 28 March 1072) was the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_of_Saxony">duke of Saxony from 1059, when he succeeded his father http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_II,_Duke_of_Saxony">Bernard II, until his death. He was a member of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billung">Billung family.
Reign
His entire reign was occupied by wars with the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wends">Wends. He was allied with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark">Denmark, strengthening the alliance by marrying (1042) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wulfhild">Wulfhild (died 24 May 1071), daughter of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olaf_II_of_Norway">Olaf II of Norway. Their son http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus,_Duke_of_Saxony">Magnus succeeded Ordulf as Duke of Saxony.
His second wife, Gertrude of Haldensleben, daughter of a Count Conrad, was imprisoned in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainz">Mainz in 1076 and died 21 February 1116. Their son Bernard died after a fall from a horse at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%BCneburg">Lüneburg on 15 July (year unknown).
Ordulf is buried in the church of Saint Michael at Lüneburg.
