Riemsloh 17. Sept.
Riemsloh Sept. 17 (a great mourning succession) gave this morning
Earthly coat of one of our oldest commune members, the former Sparkasse director and court proprietor Ferd. Bißmeyer, the last escort. For almost 50 years the deceased worked with great conscientiousness and loyalty as a member of the board for the welfare of our savings bank. We already find his name in the statutes of the Sparkasse in 1865, when the Vereinparkasse, founded in 1853, passed to Die Samtgemeinde Riemsloh-Hoyel. About 20 years ago, he became the director instead of the deceased pharmacist E. Stein.
The deceased was also very well known in hunting circles; Still this year he practiced hunting. Until the last days of his life he was physically and mentally still very fresh (last Sunday we saw him still in the church); His death, in spite of the old age of 86 years, was therefore still unexpected.
