1940 ~ 2012
Jolene Boel Clark passed from this mortal life on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, into the loving arms of Heavenly Father. She was born in Provo, Utah, on January 9, 1940, to Joseph Myrle and Ruth Richards Boel.
A darling baby with dark hair and dark eyes, Jolene was the second in a family of five children. Her early education included Timpanogos Elementary, Dixon Junior High, and Provo High School, from which she graduated in 1958. She also later attended BYU. Before her marriage, Jolene spent time working at Hedquist Drugs in Provo, Jackson Lake Lodge in Wyoming, a bank in Southern California, and then for the government in Washington DC. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she especially enjoyed working with the children in Primary, starting as a teacher in that organization in her teenage years.
Jolene met Roland Shipley Clark in December of 1962 and after a whirlwind courtship, they were married for eternity on April 12, 1963, in the Manti Temple. Together, Roland and Jolene have six wonderful children. Jolene was always the cheerleader, carpooler, and supporter of their scouting, drama, music, and academic experiences. Jolene loved being a grandma to her thirteen grandchildren, sharing her love of music, card making, and games with them. She loved gathering and sharing recipes. Everyone loved her Thanksgiving stuffing, orange rolls, brownies, and frozen raspberry salad. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
