He was born August 9, 1904, in Allan, Kansas. Mr. Miller was an Army Air Force Veteran and a Retired Quality Control Engineer for the United States Goverment. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a quarter century wireless operator as well as a member of other ham radio clubs. He was a member of the methodist church and is recognized as the inventor of the first electronic scoreboard. Survivors include his wife, Opal Fern (Adkins) Miller; a daughter, JoLoann (Greg) Sturgul of Hazelhurst, Wisconsin, a son William Paul (Dawn) Miller of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Three grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services were held August 19, 1985 at the United Methodist Church Of The Pines in Minocqua, Wisconsin, with Rev. Raymond Robinson officiating. Arrangements were handled by Bolger Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society. His wife's parents, Rev. and Mrs. Arthur William Adkins, were former residents of Cabool and Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was married in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 28, 1938 and was at one time in business in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
