She was born in Hancock County, Indiana, and lived in Edmunds, North Dakota, from 1908 until she moved to Camden, Missouri, in 1927. She moved to Richmond in 1985 and to Pleasant Valley in December 1988. Mrs. Sharp was a school teacher in rural North Dakota for 12 years, teaching for one year on the Fort Totten Indian Reservation. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church and a former member of the Ray County Home Extension Club. She graduated from Normal School in Ellendale, North Dakota. Survivors include a son, Stuart D. Sharp, Wood Heights in Ray County, two daughters, Marion Reba Elliott, Gladstone, and Merna Hanson, Olathe; a brother, Glenn Dunwoodie, Cowgill, Missouri; a sister, Lois Swearingin, Mount Vernon, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Thurman Chapel, Richmond; burial in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the church.
