Mrs. Hutton had been in failing health for some time but only bedfast one week. She was born on Kings Prairie near Gerster, Missouri, June 30, 1861, and passed away May 6th, 1928, at the age of sixty-six years, ten months and six days. She was a daughter of James R. and Liza Cauthon. She was one of a family of thirteen children. She was married to John Calvin Hutton October 26, 1879. To this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters. James E. Hutton and William Frederick Hutton of Tiffin, Missouri, Mrs. Minnie Mae Killingsworth, Mrs. Bertha Pace and (Andy) Alva Andrew Hutton, all of Rainey, Missouri, and one son Jesse Virgil, died in infancy. She with her husband united with the Baptist Church October 20, 1886, and August 19, 1906, they united with the Pleasant Valley Christian Church and ever lived a faithful member. She was a home loving mother, honest and upright, always mindful of those in need. She was absolutely dependable in all matters, taking a hearty interest in all things that were best for her community or country. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. All of her five children and grandchildren were with her in her last sickness. She leaves to mourn her loss a kind, loving husband, five children and seventeen grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was conducted at the Pleasant Valley Christian Church by Rev. Strohm of Roscoe, Missouri, Wednesday, May 9, at 10 o'clock. The many beautiful floral offerings attested the esteem of relatives and friends. The remains were laid to rest in the Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery, West of Collins, Missouri. She is gone but not forgotten, to a home where angels dwell, we will meet you up in Heaven where we'll never say farewell. Our hearts are full of longing and our hearts are sad and sore, but we hope to meet you on that bright and golden shore. A Niece. Writer has on file her Death Certificate.
