Richard Tristram of Hitchin held land in Gosmerfield in the Manor of Maydencroft. He was buried 18 Jul 1618 at Hitchin. His Will is dated 15 Jul 1618 and was proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on July 25th 1618.

Richard Tristram was named in the will of his nephew, Lawrence Tristram, Citizen and Brewer of London, dated 1 Mar 1603/4, and was said to be living in Ippollitts.
