Eldest son and heir, died childless. The descendents of Ralph Hawtrey(1494-1574) and Winifred Wollastan (1502-1573) enlarged and altered the house and estate as circumstances and fashions changed. A dovecot was built, without licence, in the grounds of Eastcote House by John Hawtrey (d. 1593). Usually only Lords of the manor held the right to keep doves and pigeons for their meat. Ralph (1570-1638) was granted a licence in 1601, an indication of his standing. Like his forebears, he paid an annual rent to be lay-rector of Ruislip, giving him responsibility for chancel repairs at St Martin's Church, but also entitling him to the Great Tythes of corn and hay. He also added Eastcote Cottage and other properties to the estate, was a JP, and provided almhouses for Ruislip's needy. (Daughter Mary married Sir John Bankes and they built Kingston Lacey, Dorset in 1663 as their new home.) John (1600-1658) greatly increased the size of the estate, and his son Ralph (1626-1725) was the last male Hawtrey to live at Eastcote House. He leased the whole manorial demesne, leases which remained in the family till 1872. The main staircase with its barley twist balusters and wide handrail indicated a 1700-1725 date. Passing by a female line into the Rogers family, and then to nephew Ralph Deane (1782-1852) by 1810, ongoing disputes about tithes and rents due were as yet unresolved by the Enclosure Acts of 1804 and 1814.
