Email from Louann "..........Charles Francis had a son Charles Lester my father. Grandfather was an officer in a bank in Manhattan. Charles' wife Mable died in the spanish flu pandemic in 1918 in NYC. She was pregnant with a girl- sadly both died. My father was 5 years old and was sent to live with his maternal grandmother in South Jersey near where I live now.
My father C.L. and mother Mary had four of us Ron, Jack, Joe and myself.
Ron has three daughter Lisa, Pam and Megan. Jack has 2 daughter Tara, and Christy.
Kate married and moved to Virginia and had several children. I don't have their names.
May Gascoine was a career woman and was married briefly but had no children.
Emma married a Mr. Anderson we heard he was a Scotsman and I believe he had a son from a previous marriage or they had a foster child. When Aunt Emma passed an attorney contacted us looking her next of kin. There are many missing pieces to the puzzle and no one to ask.
May and Emma lived together in Providence, RI in their retirement years and used to take the train down and visit us in the summers and holidays. They told me how strict their father was- no singing or dancing. Yet they all played the piano and grandfather the violin.
Jabez Kendall live in Fall River, Ma and had a stationery supply store. He had a daughter named Nancy but I don't think she ever married or had children.
I mentioned a grandmother who came over to help. It may have been WT's mother because one census shows a Mary Atwood living with them and not Sarah Kingsley. Mary Lovely was his mother's maiden name - maybe she remarried. Not sure.
It was written in the church papers that Kate Amelia was a great hostess and entertainer enjoying company at the manse. She was apparently very warm and friendly.
