Hi Patti,
Thank you for your response to the message via Ancestry.
I dont have the Carter marriages in an ancestry tree as I use a friend, Jenny Stroud's, ancestry for the occassional research. I am happy to share some more information on these marriages.
As you know my aunt Dorothy Parks, known as Doll,, married George Carter. They had no surving children and my mother was very close to her Aunt who sadly died quite young. I knew her in my very early years and she and George, known as Digger, are part of my earliest memories when I stayed with them aged about 2 or 3 years when my mother was in hospital.
My father started this family history, before the Ancestry age and some of the information I can share is his and some is added by me later.
We have George Carter's death as 7 May 1976 living at The Tile House, Manor Lane , Gerrards Cross, Bucks.
George's sister Elizabeth Carter, known as Lill, (born 14 November 1901, Finchley, London , died May 1993 in Newbury) married 20 May 1924 , Finchley to John Walter Parks, known as Jack, (born 28 July 1900 Barnet, Herts died 13 June 1992 in Newbury).
They had a son John Michael Parks born Barnet 1926 who died 2016 in Scotland and a daughter Elizabeth Rosemary born 1931 - ? who married a Clifford I believe.
Re attached photo composite. The picture top left, group standing in front of house, is left to right Elizabeth Parks as a child, her parents John Walter Parks and Elizabeth nee Carter, George Carter, unknown man in uniform, & Dorothy nee Parks.
I hope you find this useful.
I am trying to locate my cousins John Michael and Elizabeth Parks various off spring but it would appear my search goes on. If they should by some chance contact you on Ancestry feel free to pass on my email.
