A final concord dated at Chester on the Tuesday after St Laurence, 16 Henry VI, that is 1438/9, for entailing land and premises in Thelwall, Altryncham, Hale, Coggeshull, Over and Nether Whitley, and Comberbache, on Hamon, son and heir of William de Massy de Rixton, and Petronilla his wife, and his heirs male, in failure to Edward de Massy, brother of the said Hamon and his heirs male, in failure to Hugh de Massy brother of the said Edward and his male heirs.
In 1453, on 22 May, 31 Henry VI, Hamo Mascy de Rixton granted his manors of Hertford and Horton in co Chester with all his land there, to Nicholas Biron, Robert Legh of Adlyngton, junior, James Skaresbrek, William Bothe fil Robert Bothe Knt, John Chauntrell, Master John Bothe, Geoffrey Bothe and Hamon Bothe, which was witnessed by Sir John Hondford, Sir Geoffrey Mascy, Knt, Thomas Dutton, John Donne, John Dokenfeld, Thomas Caryngton, Thomas Doncalf, John Worthe and Aluered Radclyffe.
Richard Norman, prior of Birhenheued, at Byrkenheued on Saturday after the Assumption of the Blessed Virgrin Mary, in 32 Henry VI, that is 1454, leased to Thomaa Massy, rector of Weryngton Church, Hamon Massy of Rixton, Richard Massey of Rixton and George Massy of Rixton, the lands etc belonging to the Convent in Bowdon parish, for 30 years at a rent of £40 pa, and they had to keep the chancel of Bowdon church and the tithe barn at Hale in repair and pay 17s pa to the rector of Wilmeslow.
In 1461, on 29 September, Sir John Bothe Knt, Sir William Bothe Knt, and James Hall (as surviving trustees under grant of 24 May, 31 Henry VI by Hamon Mascy of Rixton) surrendered to the same Hamon his manors, lands etc in the counties of Lancaster and Chester. The original feoffees were the two Bothes above, James Hall clerk, vicar of Legh Church, Sir Robert Bothe, Knt, deceased, Thomas Mascy parson of Weryngton Church, Richard Mascy brother of Thomas, John Holcroft, and John Urmeston, vicar of Bowdon Church; Thomas, Richard, John and John retired from the trust on 27 September, 1461.
Hamlet Mascy passed away about 1462.
In 1466, on the Translation of St Thomas the Martyr, in 6 Edward IV, Johanna, the widow of Hamon Mascy of Rixton assigned to her son, Hamon Mascy, the son and heir of Hamon Mascy of Rixton, deceased, the lease left her by her husband Hamon, held of the Priory of Birkenheued, of Tithes etc in Bowdon.
