Joan de Shareshull was born circa 1330 at Skareshull, Staffordshire, England.

Joan was the daughter of Sir William de Shareshull.

She married Sir Richard de Harcourt, son of Sir William Harcourt and Jane de Grey, circa 1347. They had 2 daughters:
Katherine
Elizabeth, wife of Sir Thomas de Astley

Joan de Shareshull died after 1350.

Research Notes
Marlyn Lewis erroneously states Dionysia le Butler married in 1321 her second husband, Sir William de Shareshull, and they were the parents of Joan de Shareshull, born circa 1330, died after 1350.

Lewis' statements are disproved by this information from primary sources:
"according to Inquisitions taken the year of his death, Hugh de Cokeseye died in September 1356 and was survived by his wife, Denise, and his son and heir, Walter, aged 13 3/4. Inquisitions taken regarding Denise Late the Wife of Hugh Cokesheye, daughter of William le Botiller of Wemme, found that Denise was 50 years old when she died in 1376 and her heir was her son, Walter de Cokeseye, knight, aged 30 years and more."

Therefore Denise le Botiller could not have married her second husband until after September 1356 and could not have been the mother of any child by her second husband born before 1357. Joan Shareshull, who had a daughter Elizabeth born circa 1348, could not have been the daughter of Denise le Botiller

In the second edition of Plantagenet Ancestry, Richardson does not mention when William de Shareshull married Denise le Boteler, who Joan's mother was or when Joan was born or died.
