Ron flew into Bonnie's life in 1983 when his helicopter broke down in Elko, Nv. Ron was in the Army and his Division was on their way to a field problem in Utah. While out one night, they met, but Bonnie did not like Ron, only because he was in the military and she had her opinon about military people. However, the relationship bloomed and they eventually married in Dec of 1983, in Phoenix AZ. Ron was scheduled for Blackhawk helicopter school in Alabama. Ron, Bonnie, Angie and Lori all went to Alabama together for six months, to Virginia for six weeks then to Germany for three years. Ron and Bonnie had three years of honeymoon in Europe travelling and seeing as much as they could. When they returned and Ron retired from the Army, they settled in Phoenix, AZ. Ron worked on getting his doctorate degree, and to date has only one summer session and his dissertion to complete his degree. Ron, due to his age (we feel) has had difficulty finding employment that is permanent. He has worked numerous temporary jobs since he retired, but hasn't found the job for him. He is a teacher, a trainer and a wonderful husband. Ron was in a bad accident Aug of 2010. However, the law firm Bonnie worked for represented him and he obtained a large enough settlement to pay off all of their bills and still have a little left over. By April of 2011, both have retired and are enjoying life as much as possible.
