Notes: cited in 1292 as tenant of part of the manor of Woodnesboro'and (Near to Eastry) Kent, and the lordship of Stratfield Saye near Southampton. Woodnesboro' had been part of the territory of Odo, Bishop of Bayeux and half brother of William the Conqueror. The family of Crevecouer had received the Lordship at the beginning of the 12th Century, it was valued at three parts of the fief of a Knight. St Legers owned a quarter and the other half belonged to the family of Selling(Nicholas de Sellinger?). Cited in many documents dated 1316/24/27/31/32. In that of 1331 he names his father, his wife Isabelle and his three sons, Thomas John and Henry. Giving knights service to Hamo de Crevecouer. In 1332 he sailed from Winchelsea to Aquitaine accompaning the King Edward III at the beginning of the 100 years war.
