William FLOURNOY of Chesterfield Co., VA, was the son of Francis
FLOURNOY, Sr.. He married twice, but, as far as I have been able to tell,
it is unknown which order the two marriages took place in, and there is
uncertainty as to dates for the marriages, and as to which of his
children were born to which of the two wives.
The marriages were to:
Edith FRIEND, the daughter of Edward FRIEND. She was born May 31, 1754 in
Chesterfield County, VA. There is some uncertainty as to the date she
married William FLOURNOY, but it was possibly March 7, 1776. She died in
Chesterfield County, VA on February 8, 1805.
Phoebe FARRAR, parents and date of birth unknown.
I would like to identify which of the children of William FLOURNOY were
the children of which marriage, and would appreciate any information that
could help to identify the years of birth or the mothers of the children
of William FLOURNOY. They are (not in birth order):
Ann FLOURNOY
Edith FLOURNOY
Francis FLOURNOY
Greene FLOURNOY
Jane FLOURNOY
John FLOURNOY

The William Flournoy, Jr. listed in your query may be the father of
Parthenia Elizabeth Flournoy who was born in Georgia and perhaps resided
in Youngsville, Ala. I have information that her father was born in
Virginia . She married Elisha Lasseter (Lassiter) October 27, 1859 in
Tallapoosa, Ala. They moved to White County Arkansas around 1872. Evelyn

Has anyone discovered the order of these marriages? Which children belong
to which wife? I believe that my Mary FLOURNOY m. Peter ELAM, 1812, to be
the daughter of this William and would like to know her mother's name.
