"Maurice Berkeley, Lord Berkeley, de jure, second son, was born about 1435 (aged fifty-six in 1492). He was disinherited by his brother, and though 56 years of age at his brother's death, was able to recover, within seven years, upwards of 50 manors and other lands, that had been alienated illegally. He died aged 70 years in September 1506"
