JULIANE DE SAY, married after 23 March 1322 (as his 1sts wife ROGER DE NORTHWODE, Knt., 2nd Lord Northwode, of Northwood (in Sheppey), Northwood Chasterner (in Milton), Harrietsham, Frinstead, Shorne, Horton (in Chartham), Thornham, Binbury (in Thornham), etc., Kent, son and heir of John de Northwode [see SAY 3.ii], by his 2nd wife, Agnes, daughter of William Grandison (or Graunson), Knt., 1st Lord Grandison. He was born about 1307 (aged 12 in 1319). They had three sons, John, Knt. [3rd Lord Northwode], Roger, and Geoffrey, and one daughter, Agnes. His wife Juliane, died 20 Feb. 1329. He married (2nd) soon after 25 Jun 1331 Elizabeth de Segrave, widow of Richard Foliot, and daughter of John de Segrave, Knt., of Folkestone, Kent, by Juliane, daughter and heiress of John de Sandwich. They had no issue. She died at Canterbury, Kent 11 Dec. 1335, and was buried at Sheppey, Kent. He

He married (4th) soon after 31 March 1342 Joan ___, widow of Thomas Faversham, of Graveney, Kent, justice (living 1334). In 1350 he went on a pilgrimage to Santiago at Compostella in Spain. She died May 1356. He married (5th) 1 Augst 1356 Agnes ___, widow of John de Cobham, Knt. They had two daughters, Juliane (wife of Peter Rede) and Agnes (wife of Stephen Pysinden). He was summoned to Parliament 3 April 1360. SIR ROGER DE NORTHWODE, 2nd Lord Northwode, died 5 Nov. 1361. His widow, Agnes, married (3rd) before 1370 Christopher Shuckburgh (or Shakkeburgh), Esq., of Warwickshire, and, in right of his wife, of Horton (in Chartham), Kent (living 1407). She died 27 May 1405. ....

He married in 1360 JOAN HERT, daughter of Robert Hert, of Faversham, Kent. They had four sons, Roger, John, William, and James, and two daughters, Juliane and Joan (wife of John d'Engaine). He had livery of his inheritance in December 1361. He served in France in 1355 and 1359. He was summoned to Parliament from 1 June 1363. SIR JOHN DE NORTHWODE, 3rd Lord Northwode, died 27 Feb. 1378/9. His widow, Joan, was living in Sept. 1398. ....

He married before 1305 IDOINE DE LEYBOURNE, daughter of William de Leybourne, Lord Leybourne, by Juliane, daughter and heiress of Henry de Sandwich, Knt. They had three sons, Geoffrey, Roger, and Ralph, and three daughters, Katherine,‰ 'Juliane', and Isabel (or Elizabeth). In 1304 he was going beyong the seas with Edward, Prince of Wales. He was continually employed in thw wars of Scotland. He was summoned to Parliament from 26 July 1313 to 14 May 1321, by writs directed Galfr(id)o de Say, whereby he is held to have become Lord Say SIR GEOFFREY DE SAY, 1st Lord Say, died shortly before 3 March 1321/2. ' JULIANNA DE SAY, who m. Sir Roger de Northwode, in Kent, who succeeded his grandfather as second baron, b. 1307, d. 1361. He was the son and heir of John de Northwode, d.v.p. (and his wife, Lady Agnes, dauther of William, first Baron de Granson, or Gandison, d. 1335, see Beltz's "Order of the Garter"), son and heir of Sir John, first Baron de Northwode, d. 26 May, 1319. In 1319-20, Sir Bartholomew de Badlesmere was given by Edward II., the custody and marriage of Roger de Northwode, aged 13 years, and he sold the "marriage" to "Lady Idonea de Leybourne, late wife of Sir Geoffrey de Say, Sr.," who married him to her daughter Julianna, he being then between 14 and 15 years old.
