m¬â (1327) as her first husband,¬â ELEANOR de Bohun,¬â daughter of HUMPHREY de Bohen Earl of Hertford and Essex & his wife Elizabeth of England¬â (-7 Oct 1363).¬â A manuscript which narrates the descents of the founders of Lanthony Abbey names (in order) ·ÄúMargareta·Ä¶Humfredus·Ä¶Johannes·Ä¶Humfredus decimus·Ä¶Edwardus et Willielmus·Ä¶Alianora, Margareta secunda, Eneas, Isabella·Äù as the six sons and four daughters of ·ÄúHumfredus octavus de Bohun, comes Herefordiâ¶ et Essex, constabularius Angliâ¶ et dominus Breconiâ¶·Äù and his wife ·ÄúElizabetham filiam regis Edwardi filii regis Henrici tertii·Äù, adding that Eleanor married firstly (after the death of her father) ·Äúdomino Jacobo le Botyler Hiberniâ¶·Äù, who was created ·Äúcomitem de Urmond·Äù by King Edward III[1401].¬â She married secondly (licence 24 Jan 1344, before 20 Apr 1344)¬â Sir Thomas de Dagworth, who was created Lord Dagworth.¬â

"Eleanor de Bohun, Countess of Ormond (17 October 1304 ·Äì 7 October 1363) was an English noblewoman born in Knaresborough Castle to Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford and Elizabeth daughter of King Edward I of England and Eleanor of Castile. After the deaths of her parents, she was placed in the care of her aunt Mary Plantagenet and brought up at Amesbury Priory alongside various cousins including Joan Gaveston, Isabel of Lancaster and Joan de Monthermer. Edward II of England gave the priory a generous allowance of 100 marks annually for the upkeep of Eleanor and her younger cousin, Joan Gaveston."
