In November 1348 he was going abroad again on the King's service with Richard Talbot. He married Gwenthlian. He died v.p., 22 January 1348/9. Text: Suggests that Gwenthlian was a sister of Richard Talbot (whose g-grandmother was named Gwenthlian), and also stated on SGM that Richard Talbot & John Mautravers were abroad together in 1348. Actually I think her probable birth date makes her a daughter of Richard, as Richard's mother was probably too old to have born her as late as 1320.
